FAITH LIKE A CHILD

Image
FAITH FOR THE ONE WHO HAS NO FAITH FAITH LIKE A CHILD "Lord, I have faith. Help my faith to be stronger" (Mark 9:24). What would our lives be like if we believed the way God deserves to be believed in? What would our lives be like if we trusted in Jesus the way He called His followers to trust? What would our lives be like if we had faith that the Holy Spirit lives within us to comfort, to teach, to guide, and more…? Nothing can separate us from God's love No matter what, God loves us! As followers of Christ, we can be closer to God, working to follow His will and share His love with others. Paul the Apostle wrote in his letter to the Roman Christians, “I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39) God’s plan for the f...

A frighting Car Accident!

Image
A Frightening Car Accident After Accident  We survived a frightening car accident. The road was wet due to rain, a goods carrying truck (Dumper) had lost its control taking a swing, imbalanced and completely out of control. I was heading towards Bagdogra and the Truck was coming towards Bhuttabari.  The truck driver had completely lost his control. There seemed no way. He foolishly applied the break to control the speed at the eleventh hour, and it caused his truck to skid in a remarkable fashion. It did a 180-degree spin in the middle of the sharp corner, facing the wrong way! Imagine if there was another car travelling at 70 km/h right behind me. A severe collision would be the order of the day. Thank God there wasn't one!  But this wasn't the end of the story. Sliding momentum brought the right back portion of the Truck to smash the Engine of my car. The impact was so severe that the engine bent inward, the whole back axle shifted toward the left and...

Attitude of Gratitude

Image
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE   We often like complaining, because everyone around us we have heard complaining; Youngsters, Middle-aged, Old aged, Children almost everyone. Thank you and Sorry has become a trend a kind of fashion.  We can not ignore the fact that technology has bestowed upon us so much but we do complain if the TV or the Internet signals is down for even five minutes. Complaining is everywhere.  How can we develop the attitude of gratitude?  It is not easy to develop this attitude of gratitude, especially you are surrounded by the vicinity of unthankful people, complaining society and bragging adults. So let's learn how to be happy with this attitude?  Be thankful for everything you have been blessed by the almighty. Many times we throw ourselves in the darkest ditch just because we can't see or value the blessings which we already have in our lives.  Let me start up with a short story:  A blind boy sat on the step...

A Friend to Know

Image
Have you ever realised that there is someone who really cares for you and love you more than anyone in the world? Do you know that the God who created the heavens and earth know everything about you? Nothing has ever hidden from the sight of God. Your every pains, your sorrows, the tears that you shed in the darkest of the rooms, the agony, the cloud of trauma that accidentally covered you whole; He know everything. He knows your past, present and your future. When I am talking about the past, please don't tremble with fear, God is not only a judging God but a loving God. He erases all your scars from yesterday, walk with you in the journey of life today and promises not to forsake and leave you in any tides of life. We all are aware of all the heights of tides which life gifts us but JESUS promises to stand with us in the midst of the storm. He loves you and He has a plan for you. Let us read a story about Jesus and His disciples. One day they all were travelling, Jesus ...

Love Acceptance & Forgiveness

Bear with (Accept) each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on Love which binds them all together in perfect unity (col. 3:13-14) Our actions issue from our attitudes. Attitudes are learned; they are also chosen. Only when they become habits, as the consequence of intentional practice, do they really become part of our character - who we really are. Landon Saunders was once heard to say, "You can't win at life if you loose at relationships, and you can't loose at life if you win at relationships." Meaningful relationships are fostered, nurtured and maintained by the habits of loving, accepting and forgiving. Love = intending the best for another whether or not it is deserved. Acceptance = valuing another as potentially bearing God's image. Forgiveness = cancelling all debts incurred by others. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for yo...

My past got into my eyes!

Image
Raju was playing cricket and he decided to narrate the story of his failure to Roma, his friend. He starts with, everything was going well, I was playing well but all of a sudden the ball came towards me for an easiest catch. I was almost done but at the moment my past got into my eyes and I failed. The greatest pain anything can give us is our past, nothing can hurt deeper than our past. There is no room to hide from the guilt we know we have done. Every now and then it struck into our neck as the fish bone. We want to get rid of it but it continues to live with us and destroy our pleasant future. Let us turn to our Bible and see how Jesus dealt with this issue. Jesus was born with a terrible stigma. His mother, Marry was pregnant with Him before she ever married Joseph, she betrothed. The Bible says that they had not a sexual relationship, but "that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost" ( Matthew 1:20) Only two people in the world knew that Mary was a vir...
