Attitude of Gratitude
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

We can not ignore the fact that technology has bestowed upon us so much but we do complain if the TV or the Internet signals is down for even five minutes. Complaining is everywhere.
How can we develop the attitude of gratitude?
It is not easy to develop this attitude of gratitude, especially you are surrounded by the vicinity of unthankful people, complaining society and bragging adults. So let's learn how to be happy with this attitude?
Be thankful for everything you have been blessed by the almighty. Many times we throw ourselves in the darkest ditch just because we can't see or value the blessings which we already have in our lives.
Let me start up with a short story:
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.”
There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”
The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. I wrote: “Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it.”
Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind.
Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral: Be thankful for what you have…Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear. The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling… And even more beautiful, knows that you are the reason behind it!
Appreciative people are happy!
In the book of Psalm chapter 106:1-3 we find that - Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD, or declare all his praise? Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!
When you start appreciating people, relationships, love, family, health, wealth and things provided for your comfort, I bet you will definitely harvest smiles.
STOP COMPLAINING, START APPRECIATING If you want to happy.
How can I be happy?
1. Never Forget - When you are eating your favourite dinner, never forget to thank your mother, wife or daughter or the men we cooked food for you this evening.
In the book of Genesis chapter 40, we learn that Joseph befriended the Buttler but the Buttler forgot Joseph. But the Bibles tells us to appreciate one another.
2. Don't major on troubles - In the book of Romans 8:28 we are reminded "And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done"
Most things are dated according to tragedies.
Focus on what you have not on which you don't have!
Here is a short paragraph please have a look at it:
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire ... if you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something ... for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times ... during those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations ... they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge... which will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes ... they will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary ... because it means you've given your all.
It's easy to be thankful for the 'good' things ... yet, a life of rich fulfilment comes to those who are thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive ... find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.
May God bless you all
