A Friend to Know

Image
Have you ever realised that there is someone who really cares for you and love you more than anyone in the world? Do you know that the God who created the heavens and earth know everything about you? Nothing has ever hidden from the sight of God. Your every pains, your sorrows, the tears that you shed in the darkest of the rooms, the agony, the cloud of trauma that accidentally covered you whole; He know everything. He knows your past, present and your future. When I am talking about the past, please don't tremble with fear, God is not only a judging God but a loving God. He erases all your scars from yesterday, walk with you in the journey of life today and promises not to forsake and leave you in any tides of life. We all are aware of all the heights of tides which life gifts us but JESUS promises to stand with us in the midst of the storm. He loves you and He has a plan for you. Let us read a story about Jesus and His disciples. One day they all were travelling, Jesus ...

Love Acceptance & Forgiveness

Bear with (Accept) each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on Love which binds them all together in perfect unity (col. 3:13-14) Our actions issue from our attitudes. Attitudes are learned; they are also chosen. Only when they become habits, as the consequence of intentional practice, do they really become part of our character - who we really are. Landon Saunders was once heard to say, "You can't win at life if you loose at relationships, and you can't loose at life if you win at relationships." Meaningful relationships are fostered, nurtured and maintained by the habits of loving, accepting and forgiving. Love = intending the best for another whether or not it is deserved. Acceptance = valuing another as potentially bearing God's image. Forgiveness = cancelling all debts incurred by others. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for yo...

My past got into my eyes!

Raju was playing cricket and he decided to narrate the story of his failure to Roma, his friend. He starts with, everything was going well, I was playing well but all of a sudden the ball came towards me for an easiest catch. I was almost done but at the moment my past got into my eyes and I failed. The greatest pain anything can give us is our past, nothing can hurt deeper than our past. There is no room to hide from the guilt we know we have done. Every now and then it struck into our neck as the fish bone. We want to get rid of it but it continues to live with us and destroy our pleasant future. Let us turn to our Bible and see how Jesus dealt with this issue. Jesus was born with a terrible stigma. His mother, Marry was pregnant with Him before she ever married Joseph, she betrothed. The Bible says that they had not a sexual relationship, but "that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost" ( Matthew 1:20) Only two people in the world knew that Mary was a vir...

LOVE IN THE CHURCH

Image
NEED OF LOVE PORTRAYED IN THE BIBLE 2000 YEARS AGO IN THE CHURCH TODAY! Romans 13:8-10 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbour has fulfilled the law. For this, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself." Love does no wrong to a neighbour; therefore love is the fulfilment of the law. Galatians 5:13-14 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself." In the corporate world and in popular culture it is easy to imagine a situation where people "bite and devour each other" in order to get ahead or be the best. The fact that Paul ...
